Christopher Nolan‘The Odyssey’ created a buzz online. With many people debating about the dialogue choices as well as the casting, Travis Scott’s addition to the list came as a huge surprise to many. The famous rapper was cast as one of the birds in the film that tells the story of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca. In one of his recent interviews, Scott opened up about how he got the role in the first place and how nervous he was to play the role in Nolan’s film.Travis Scott shares how nervous he was about filming ‘The Odyssey’The ‘SICKO MODE’ rapper recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on July 21, where he was asked how he got the opportunity of a lifetime. The rapper candidly shared that he got the role after Christopher Nolan met him personally and invited him to play the character of the Bard.He added, “My phone went off, and it just said, ‘Chris.’ And I thought, like, ‘Okay, I don’t know what this is. Maybe he wants to go to a show?'” He added, “I’m like, ‘Okay, what’s this?’ So I took it, and he was like, ‘Are you interested in acting in a movie?’ And I said, ‘I mean, I think, you know? What is? [role]?’ but I didn’t think it was for him. I thought it might work for others.”The 35-year-old further shared that the request surprised him to the core, as this was his first acting role. He pointed out that the most he has done in front of the camera is only for his music videos. He added, “I’m like ‘Whoa, hold on. Wait. Wait. You know I make music?’ and then he gave me his whole thesis on why…”Travis Scott shares that he is greatly inspired by Christopher NolanThe rapper also shared a few words about what it was like to work with the legendary director and how it felt to land his first acting credit. Scott shared, “I really enjoyed his time. I was really inspired by him; he was a real mentor to me outside of it. And so I was like, ‘Yo, whatever you’re sad about, I’m missing.When Jimmy Fallon asked him about how it felt for him, the rapper bluntly replied, “I was really nervous as ‘F,’ but it did.” He also explained that, “I didn’t know this was going to happen Anne HathawayTom [Holland] and: Robert Pattinsona bunch of like, weird people… I don’t know what the f— I’m doing. But that’s how they are [an] amazing cast, you know?”Apart from being on screen for ‘The Odyssey’, Travis Scott also worked on one of the end-credit songs for the film. ‘WHEN I’M HOME’, a collaboration with: James Blake nd shows punchy lines about the ‘Odyssey’ story and everything that happened in the film.
