The stunning debut appearance of ‘The Lord of the Rings’. The Rings of Power’ Season 3 was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Along with the announcement of the expected next episodes, the producers revealed that Simon Pegg: will join the cast as the voice of the Balrog. Simon Pegg became the voice of Balrog
The Lord of the Rings. The Rings of Power announced surprises and cast members at their panel in Hall H, including showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay. The press release said that more than 6,500 attendees were part of the show. The surprise appearance included four armored Nazgûl, the servants of Sauron’s ring and Second Age followers of the Nazgûl. Additionally, Simon Pegg joins the cast as the voice of Balrog, the first time the creature speaks. More creatures will join in the coming season, including Fell-beasts, Mumakil, Orgs, and Balrog.The official logline for the third season reads, “The Third Season takes place at the height of the War between the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to create the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war, bind all people to his will – and ultimately rule all of Middle-earth.”

Additional cast members joining for the third season include Jamie Campbell Bower, Eddie Marsan, Andrew Richardson, Zubin Varla and Adam Young.The third season will premiere on November 11, 2026, with four episodes, with the fifth and sixth episodes on November 18, 2026, and the final two episodes on November 25, 2026.
