While the filmmakers have not officially confirmed the date, the rumors have fueled speculation that the clip, which is expected to be only the second major clip from the film, will be revealed a week before the film’s rumored Comic Con debut.

On X fans, Instagram and Reddit, fans are sharing the countdown to the release of the trailer, which is expected to feature a long look at Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.

While Climax India posts claim that the makers have chosen July 18 for the trailer launch, another Bollywood Talkies post suggests that the clip that will be released this month, will be another promotional asset, like ‘Rama First Glimpse’, and that the trailer could be released on Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday in September.

‘Ramayana’ at Comic Con 2026

After their appearance at Cinema Con, rumors spread about Producer Namit Malhotra and his leading stars also attending Comic Con. The festival is expected to be held later this month, between July 22 and July 26.The online buzz about a possible trailer launch comes after reports claimed that a key sequence in the film, including the first meeting between Rama and Sita, will be shown in the clip.

‘Ramayana’, rumored to be one of the most expensive films ever made in India, has music by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer and Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, while Academy Award-winning visual effects studio DNEG handled the film’s VFX.The epic has also emerged as one of IMDb’s most anticipated releases in India in 2026, along with ‘Ramayana. Part 1’ is slated for a Diwali 2026 release and ‘Ramayana. Part 2 is scheduled for a Diwali 2027 release.
