England created history by winning their first T20I series against India in a series of two or more matches after winning by nine wickets in the fourth T20I at the County Ground, Bristol. The win gave Harry Brook’s side a 3-0 lead after a five-match opening series sweep, marking a huge victory against one of the strongest T20 teams in the world. The defeat also highlighted India’s recent struggles in the tournament. This is the first time since February 2019 that India have lost a consecutive T20I series, having previously gone down 2-0 in Ireland earlier this year. The last such final came when India lost 2-1 to New Zealand before losing 2-0 at home against Australia in 2019.
