England created history by winning their first T20I series against India in a series of two or more matches after winning by nine wickets in the fourth T20I at the County Ground, Bristol.The win gave Harry Brook’s side a 3-0 lead after a five-match opening series sweep, marking a huge victory against one of the strongest T20 teams in the world. The defeat also highlighted India’s recent struggles in the tournament. This is the first time since February 2019 that India have lost a consecutive T20I series, having previously gone down 2-0 in Ireland earlier this year. The last such final came when India lost 2-1 to New Zealand before losing 2-0 at home against Australia in 2019.

Brook remained unbeaten on 79, while Salt finished with 59 not out, as England chased down the target in just 13.5 overs, winning with 37 balls to spare.

The win was England’s second biggest win with wickets remaining in a 150-plus run chase, matching their nine-wicket win over South Africa in a 192-run chase in Cape Town in 2020. England are the only team to have won by 10 wickets against India in the 2022 T20 World Cup, losing in the 1st semi-final.Among the full member nations, England’s run was also the fourth most successful run in 150-plus balls remaining.
