Directed by BV Nandini Reddy, ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ became the highest grossing female-led Telugu film. It also marked the biggest box office success of: Samantha Ruth Prabhunor career as a solo lead. Now, the film is all set to make its digital debut.

Where to stream the movie?

‘MIB’ will start streaming on JioHotstar from July 17, 2026. The announcement was made jointly by the streaming platform and Samantha’s production banner.So far, only the Telugu version has been confirmed for its digital premiere. The makers are yet to announce the release dates for the dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Story, cast and crew of ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’

Samantha plays Swarna who is a woman who tries to build a peaceful family life while hiding her past. Once a trained assassin, he is forced to face his past life after old enemies return, putting his loved ones in danger.The cast also includes Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth Manchale, Gautami, Sreemukhi and Anand in important roles.The film is directed by BV Nandini Reddy. The story was created by: Raj Nidimoruwhile the screenplay was written by Vasanth Maringanti and Raj Nidimoru. The music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu on film journey

Samantha recently shared a heartfelt note on Instagram. He wrote, “A friend of mine called an exhibitor at a B center. He didn’t know I was listening. My friend asked, ‘What do you think about Maa Inti Bangaram? How big do you think it will open?’ The exhibitor did not hesitate. Why would anyone watch a hero film? If he is in a big hero’s film, great. People know her because of her beauty. But a film led by a hero? Who’s coming? There is no one.‘”Samantha added, “I think real change only happens when someone is willing to take risks. Usually, those risks don’t pay off. Every once in a while, it happens.

ETimes review of ‘MIB’

ETimes praised the film for presenting a refreshing take on the commercial action genre. The review read, “The film may not reinvent the action-drama template, but it does change it around a female protagonist who is allowed to be vulnerable and scary.
