Having achieved his lifelong dream of signing a record deal, the inspirational artist will launch his debut album. Some of these pieces have lived with me for decades, and I still find myself returning to them. My whole life is a dream. Signing Decca is the honor of a lifetime,” the official statement from the Academy Award winner, published by the record company Decca Classics, read, per The Guardian. Anthony Hopkins’ debut album was produced by the Grammy-winning conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Philharmonia Orchestra, as well as virtuoso soloists, cellist Gregorio Nieto and classical pianist Sergio Tiempo. “My deepest gratitude and respect goes to maestro Gustavo Dudamel, whose art has been an integral part of this musical journey,” he said.The released single ‘Bracken Road’ was composed by the actor in 1963 when he was a child actor at the Liverpool Playhouse. In another song, ‘My Fatherland,’ he pays tribute to Wales’ humble beginnings. “I am the son of my father, the baker,” he added. In addition, he revisits his childhood memories in Port Talbot, remembering his grandfather and close friends.Hopkins began improvising on the piano at age 6 and eventually composed music for local plays as a teenager. Even during his acting career, he worked on his piano and pursued his passion. Now, after all these years, ‘Life of A Dream’ was recorded in April and will be released on August 21, 2026.
