With the clock ticking down to the release of the much-anticipated launch trailer of ‘Ramayana:‘, a new update has fans in awe.The film which will release its first official trailer in a few days has been certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to the CBFC certificate, ‘Ramayana’, stars: Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in the lead roles, will reportedly have two trailers instead of just one clip.
‘Ramayana’ has TWO trailers
According to the certificate, the trailer of the film was given a ‘U’ (Universal) certificate on July 15, making it suitable for viewers of all age groups from children to adults. Interestingly, the trailer is much longer than most other theatrical previews.
‘Ramyana’ trailer runtime revealed
The CBFC website now lists two versions of the trailer. While one trailer, titled ‘Trailer – Ramayana 3D’, has a runtime of 4 minutes and 15 seconds, the other, titled ‘Theatrical Trailer – Ramayana 3D’, runs for exactly 4 minutes. It remains to be seen if the online release will give fans 15 seconds of extra footage, or if it will be reserved for viewers to watch it on big screens.

The upcoming trailers mark the next big promotional asset from the film. The first announcement video of the film was unveiled on July 3, 2025, introducing the audience to the ambitious mythological epic. The makers, on April 2, released ‘Rama First Look’, coinciding with the festival of Hanuman Jayanti. This character trailer introduces the audience to Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and also teases the introduction of Yash as the antagonist, Ravana. The clip has a runtime of 2 minutes and 38 seconds and has also received a ‘U’ certificate from the CBFC.

The CBFC certification of the trailer comes just days after the makers announced in a social media post from their official handle, which said, “From Bharat to the world, Ramayana trailer premieres worldwide on 24th July, 2026.”The team released a statement that read, “For thousands of years, the Ramayana has inspired generations through the timeless values ​​of dharma, maryada, courage and compassion. Today, it begins a new journey. One of the greatest civilizational epics of Bharat, presented to the world, on a scale never before attempted in Indian cinema.”
