There was no language for what I was going through so I carried it quietly and alone for a long time.”She said that discovering information about bulimia helped her finally understand her condition, “When I finally read about bulimia I understood for the first time what was happening to me. And yet the shame of admitting it, even to myself, took years to act.”Sana said that she chose to speak publicly in hopes of helping others who may be facing similar struggles, “I’m sharing this because somewhere out there someone is carrying something that they don’t even have a name for. And I want them to know, it has a name. You are not alone.
