“Alpha”, starring: Alia Bhatt: and Sharvari in the lead roles, took the run at the box office and saw a good improvement in the numbers on Tuesday. The film, which finished its fifth day in theaters, benefited from strategic ticket pricing by major movie theater chains.The film, which also marks the first female-led spy action film in the YRF Spy Universe, reportedly witnessed a daily rise in collections on Tuesday. As per the early estimates of Sacnilk, ‘Alpha’ has earned an estimated Rs 4.25 crore net haul. With this, the film registered a 10.4% increase at Rs 3.85 crore net collection on Monday. According to the report, the film also went on to gross an estimated Rs 4.89 crore within 7,173 screens.The film opened to an estimated Rs 9.25 crore nett in India on Friday before witnessing healthy growth in the week. Its collections rose to Rs 11.50 crore nett on Saturday, while Sunday emerged as the film’s biggest day at the domestic box office, with an estimated collection of Rs 15.90 crore India gross.With the latest earnings, the film has earned the India gross collection of an estimated Rs 50.23 crore, while the India net collection stands at Rs 42.10 crore.The film also continued a steady run at the overseas box office, as per the report, the film collected an estimated Rs 1.50 crore gross on its fifth day. This pushed the total overseas gross to Rs 19.80 crore. This coupled with the domestic collection of the film, now sets the film for a Rs 70.03 crore global haul.Sacnilk further reported that the film saw good growth on Tuesday, along with discounted ticket prices in several chains. This movie is reported to have not only helped in promotion, a move expected to increase occupancy, but also increased footfalls, especially among families and young viewers. While most other films faced a weekday slump, ‘Alpha’, with its strategic ticket pricing, helped the film maintain a strong box office graph.‘Alpha’ will now look to maintain its momentum for the remainder of the week. It remains to be seen if the film will cross the Rs 100 crore mark in weekend 1. The film has another undisputed weekend at the box office before it faces off against new releases, including Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, which is slated for its release in India next week.Set within the YRF Spy Universe, ‘Alpha’ has Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead, along with Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan. The film is on its way to becoming one of Alia’s highest grossing films till date.
