Stand-up comedian and actor Anubhav Singh Bassi recently shared his thoughts on the nationwide protests surrounding the NEET controversy, posting a heartfelt message on social media. In it, he praised Gen Z for their sharp wit and creative approach to protest, while also expressing his support for the issues they raise.

On his Instagram Stories, Bassi posted a photo from Monday’s Chalo Sansad march in Delhi, where police used lathi charges against several student protesters. The image captured a policeman brandishing his lathi, while a female protester held him back, protecting fellow demonstrators from being beaten.In the caption, he wrote, “Ye hamari waali generation nahi hai jo bachpan ki trauma jawani pe daale aur jawani ka budhape pe, easily manipulate nahi hote hein ye. ‘They have rights’ sun ke hi bade hue hein aur sharp toh you behadd hain. ABCD se pehle ADHD pata chala he inheration, you maante (These children will not be traumatized by their generation (These people will not be traumatized by their generation) young people and then in their old age they are not easily influenced and grow up knowing their rights.
He added, “Aur creative ye itne hain ki 2 ghante mein rap bhi likh dete hein aur 10 minute mein meme tayyar hota hain inka. Humein inhe empathy aur sympathy se aage leke chalna chahiye, apathy se chid hein inhe. May their concerns be addressed, hours (They are also creative within two minutes. Officials and protesters gave conflicting accounts
Delhi officials said protesters from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) became unruly and aggressive during Monday’s demonstration in New Delhi, behaving violently. They alleged that despite being repeatedly warned and given legal instructions by the police to disperse, the protesters ignored these directives and knowingly violated the prohibition orders. On the other hand, the protesters argued that the Delhi Police acted indiscriminately against them, resulting in many injuries. Footage on social media showed police using lathi charges and tear gas against students, and protesters further claimed that unidentified individuals in plain clothes, without police credentials, also attacked them.
Almost a month protest at Jantar Mantar
The student-led protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has been going on at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for almost a month now, with activist Sonam Wangchuk and other students later joining and staging a hunger strike. Their central demand was the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET paper leak and other exam-related irregularities, along with a broader call for reform in the education system.
