Actor-comedian Vir Das has revealed about missing out on a role in Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s upcoming film ‘Digger’. After the first trailer for the Tom Cruise-starrer dropped on Monday, Das shared his reaction to X and then took the post down. Das wrote, “Given two auditions for this. They went with Riz Ahmed. Very upset, but that’s life. This script is crazy, in a good way.” The candid admission reflects his charming acceptance of not landing the part.
A powerhouse ensemble cast
The supporting cast includes John Goodman as an ailing US president who urges Rockwell to solve the crisis. The film also stars Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed, Sophie Wilde, Emma D’Arcy, Burn Gorman, Robert John Burke and Michael Stuhlbarg. The project is scheduled to hit theaters on October 2, giving audiences something to look forward to.

Das was last seen in ‘Happy Patel. Khatarnak Jasoos’ starring Mithila Palkar and Mona Singh, with Imran Khan and Aamir Khan making special appearances. The actor also announced the ensemble cast of his upcoming directorial venture ‘Baara Number’, which marks his first foray into the horror genre. The film brings together Sheeba Chaddha, Arunoday Singh, Ahsaas Channa, Atul Kulkarni, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Suhail Nayyar, Puja Sarup and Naveen Kaushik. This is Das’ second directorial project, reflecting his growth as a filmmaker alongside his acting career.
