ETimes review of the film
ETimes had a mixed response to the sequel, praising the efforts of the cast while pointing out shortcomings in the screenplay and execution. The ETimes review reads, “While the premise has potential, the film we get rarely lives up to it. A ‘This should be enough’ attitude seems to permeate various aspects, from the writing itself (convenient and predictable) to the gameplay (mega serial-like), acting (broad strokes), and music (generic, barring one hummable number). The cast, filled with actors who have entertained us in the past, has managed to sell it, although Aishwarya Lekshmi, who was the attraction of the previous film, is felt here, perhaps because of the dubbing. Even a couple of cameos towards the end hardly leave an impact because of the names involved.DISCLAIMER: Box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
