‘Mollywood Times’ is now available for streaming on OTT. According to Sacnilk estimates, the film collected Rs 1.80 crore in India net collection on its opening day in 954 screens.Its gross collection in India stands at Rs 2.09 crore, while the total India net collection also remains at Rs 1.80 crore after Day 1.ETimes has given ‘Mollywood Times’ 3 out of 5 stars. It’s refreshing because, although it quickly descends into darkness, the writers continue to relate and the hero never thinks of giving up on his dreams or really compromising on his principles.So the ideas are compelling, but the storytelling starts to feel awkward, especially in the second half. The many obstacles that come in the way of Vineeth’s dreams are just from the different way Mollywood works and it’s tiring. The SC/ST privilege segments feel strangely tone-deaf and unnecessary.
