Meenakshi Seshadri is all set to make his long-awaited acting comeback with the upcoming Prime Video series ‘Nanavati vs Nanavati’, reportedly directed by Vipul Shah. Just two months after moving to Mumbai to revive her acting career, the veteran star landed a pivotal role in the court drama, which also reunited her with Jackie Shroff nearly 40 years after their iconic pairing in ‘Hero’ (1983). The series also featured Bhagyashree, Ram Kapoorand: Anupriya Goenkamaking it one of the most anticipated OTT projects featuring veteran Bollywood stars.

Just two months after revealing her permanent move to Mumbai to pursue acting again, Meenakshi has bagged a role in a Prime Video series. ‘Nanavati vs Nanavati’ marks a reunion with Jackie, his co-star from ‘Hero’ (1983), the film that gave him a breakout hit at the very beginning of his career.

According to Mid-day, the eight-episode series, directed by Vipul Shah, is currently being shot at Bar Stock Exchange in Andheri West, with an impressive cast rounded out by Bhagyashree, Ram Kapoor, and Anupriya Goenka. Bringing Meenakshi and Jackie, the hit couple of the 1980s, together again after four decades was one of the biggest talking points of the show. Their scenes are expected to tap into the nostalgia associated with Hero, while placing them in age-appropriate characters. Bhagyashree and Ram will play another couple. Since Ram is currently in another show, he will join the shoot later. The main schedule is expected to be held in Powai.
