However, following his recent visit to the UK for a series of Invictus Games events, Harry is reportedly determined to resume arrangements.

Prince Harry is lobbying for security to allow family time with King CharlesThe Duke is reported to be lobbying the Home Secretary for security, with sources suggesting he is looking to arrange more meetings with the King to allow him to spend more time with his grandchildren, who have barely visited the UK since the Sussexes moved to the US in 2020.However, the reunion was overshadowed by reports that an offer from the King to stay at Buckingham Palace was “withdrawn at the last moment”. Buckingham Palace indicated that appropriate hospitality and staff provisions were no longer available. But the decision reportedly meant Meghan and the couple’s children had to pull the plug on their plans to join the visit, and only arrived later after flying in from Europe.

Prince Harry argued that children do not feel safe without protectionThe Duke has previously argued that his children will not “feel at home” in the UK if “it is not possible to keep them safe” there, and that he has been “singled out” for “inferior treatment” with his safety, security and life “at risk”. His legal arguments centered on the welfare of his family and his desire to provide them with a safe environment for visits to the UK.But the Home Office, which is legally responsible for the committee’s decisions, opposed Harry’s appeal. Its lawyers told the court that the decision was made in an “unusual set of circumstances” and that there was “no proper basis” to challenge it. He now makes his own security arrangements when visiting the UK, which has reportedly put a lot of financial and logistical stress on his ability to travel.Prince Harry is set to return to the UK next year for the Invictus Games in Birmingham and has said he hopes his family will be able to join him during the event.
