The countdown to the release of: Nitesh Tiwari‘s’Ramayana:‘ The trailer has entered its final phase, where the makers are set to unveil the much-anticipated trailer at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), before its worldwide release on July 24.On Wednesday, fans saw the leading men Ranbir Kapoor and: Yash: from Mumbai to San Diego to attend a pop culture event, for the grand international showcase of their film.

The ‘Ramayana’ panel is scheduled to take place on Thursday at 3:15 PM PDT in the 4,800-seat Ballroom 20 at SDCC. Hosted by entertainment journalist Coy Jandreau, the session will feature Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra.During the presentation, the team is expected to discuss the vision behind the film, its grand production, character development and the adaptation of the ancient Indian epic for a global audience. According to reports, the panel will also include the premiere of exclusive footage, followed by the debut of the film’s official trailer.

According to the Comic-Con schedule, the presentation will take place between 3:15 AM and 4:15 AM IST on July 24, when the trailer is expected to be unveiled for the San Diego attendees. Indian fans waiting to feast their eyes on the trailer, may have to wait a little longer.As per a screenshot shared online from the official handle of PVR Pictures, the trailer is scheduled for a 10 AM IST release on July 24 across digital platforms and theaters. Meanwhile, other reports suggest that the trailer will be released at 8 am IST.However, the makers have only confirmed July 24 as the release date and so far have not revealed any scheduled time for the release.
‘Ramayana’ English-dubbed version to premiere at Comic-Con?
The makers are also expected to reveal a special format English-dubbed version of the trailer during the Comic-Con presentation.According to the production team, the English version will feature AI-assisted lip-sync technology, allowing the actors’ lip movements to match the so-called dialogue for international audiences. The initiative is part of the film’s elaborate global release strategy.

The official San Diego Comic-Con synopsis for the film reads, “In a time of gods and kings, the fate of worlds hangs in the balance. Rama, a prince bound by duty, sacrifice and greater good, must face Ravana, an immortal ruler driven by pride and vengeance, powerful enough to shatter the universe.”
‘Ramayana’ cast and release date
Ramayana boasts of one of the largest ensembles assembled for an Indian film. Ranbir Kapoor stars as Lord Rama, while: Sai Pallavi depicts Sita. Yash will appear as the antagonist, Ravana, along with: Sunny Deol Lord Hanuman plays and Ravi Dubey essays the role of Lakshman.The cast also includes Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Arun Govil as King Dashrath, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjihva, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, Adinath Kothare as Bharata, while Anupam Kher lends his voice to Jatayu.While the film is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, reports doing the rounds indicate that the film may only release on November 8, and that the official release date will be mentioned in the trailer.
