Shashwat Sachdev opens up about how he feels after winning his second National Film Award
While talking to Variety India, the composer opened up about how good it is to know that he has scored another victory with Article 370′, which he worked with. Aditya Dhar. Commenting on the matter he shared, “The awards are funny. They come on a particular day, but they take you back years at once.”He added that at the time he received his first National Film Award for ‘URI. The Surgical Strike’ in 2019, he was extremely “overwhelmed” and at the time he did not know how to take such great news. In his social practice, Sachdev is all about taking things lightly. He added, “This time, with ‘Article 370,’ I accept it with a little more calmness and more gratitude.“Sachdev also revealed that he and Dhar were celebrating the win and recently talked about the film’s performance at this year’s National Film Award. He said, “Yes, we talked. He gave me a lot of love, which he always does. The first thing he told me was that he was really proud of my work.”The famous Bollywood composer’s last big film was the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise, and many people are expecting the film to get a National Film Award next year. When asked about the same, Sachdev scoffed at the possibility and said, “And ‘Dhurandhar’ next year?” [Laughs] I’ll just smile at that and quietly go back to work.”

The two films that earned Sachdev his National Film Awards were produced by Dhar alone. During the interview, he openly talked about the filmmaker and shared that, “Aditya is a brother for me, so working with him is always deeply personal. We grew through these films together, and to be recognized twice for the music that came out of trust is incredibly moving. Somewhere inside, I still feel like the same boy sitting in a studio, trying to find a you most honest scene.“
About ‘Article 370’
The film is based on the 2019 remake of: Jammu and Kashmirspecial status. The film is divided into 6 chapters, and is based on an intelligence officer and an officer of the Prime Minister’s Office who work together for a secret mission to break corruption. The film stars Yami Gautam in the lead role, alongside Priyamani, Raj Arjun, Arun Govil, Shivam Khajuria, and more.
