Apurva Mukhija says she feels suicidal after Samay Raina's 'India's Got Latent' controversy.

Content creator Apoorva Makhija opened up about one of the most difficult chapters in his life while speaking on Lock Upp Season 2. Recalling the aftermath of the India’s Got Latent controversy, he revealed that he struggled with suicidal thoughts and said that co-creator Sufi Motiwala was the one person who stood by him during that time.During an emotional conversation with Sufi on the reality show, Apoorva: shared that her friendship became her biggest source of strength when she faced the fallout from the controversy.Overcome with emotion after meeting him again, Apoorva said, “I really miss you. Don’t do it anymore; I’m starting to cry. Every time someone asks me about you and says, ‘How are you his friend? He’s so bad,’ I tell them … I would have killed myself if, during the Hidden defeat, he said that I’m not a Sufi.Sufi quickly interrupted him, saying, “Don’t say that.”Apoorva explained how important her presence was in helping him navigate that phase of his life.“I wouldn’t have been able to get through that. You’re the only one with me. I don’t have a boyfriend. Personally, in my life, as a friend,” he added.Sufi also reflected on their bond, describing the time they spent together as one of the happiest times of her life. He shared that their friendship gave him a sense of belonging in Mumbai.“I’ll tell you the truth, bro. That one year was the most favorite year of my life when we were friends. I finally felt like I had a social circle in Bombay. I felt like I had someone I could go to whenever I wanted. And I really miss you,” he said.The heartfelt conversation ended with the two creators apologizing to each other for the misunderstanding that affected their friendship.Apoorva said, “I’m sorry too. I know those little, little things hurt so much.For those unfamiliar with the incident, Apoorva Makhija was embroiled in the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent, the YouTube comedy promoted by influencer Samay Raina, last year.
