Actress and filmmaker Olivia Wilde opened up about his changing opinion on: Elon Musksaying that he is now “very angry” with the billionaire and never thought he would become the person he is today.Speaking on The Louis Theroux Podcast, the Don’t Worry Darling director reflected on meeting Musk years ago during a visit to SpaceX headquarters in Los Angeles.
“I really hate him”
Wilde revealed that he visited SpaceX when the company was just building its headquarters. At the time, Musk showed interest in supporting a charity he was involved with in Haiti, which focused on building hospitals and schools.“I’m really mad at him right now. I’m really mad at him,” Wilde said.Recalling the meeting, he added, “I met him many, many years ago. I think SpaceX just built their headquarters in LA and I have to go on a tour because I want to see the rocket ships.”He said Musk has expressed interest in donating to the organization.“He was interested in donating money to an organization I’m part of in Haiti that builds hospitals and schools. I think he donated a little bit of money, and that was appreciated.”
“He seems very smart”
Wilde admitted that although she found Musk intelligent in their interactions, she never expected his public persona to develop as much as it did.“I’m confused about him. I would never have predicted that he would go the way he did. He seems really smart,” he said.Summing up how he now sees the billionaire, Wilde adds that he met him long ago “before he became a creature.”His remarks come amid Musk’s continued prominence in global politics, business and social media, where his statements and actions often generate widespread debate.
