During an interaction with Vickey Lalwani, Paresh Rawal put forward speculations that he is not comfortable working with Akshay Kumar to take a break. He clarified, “This is not something Akshay Kumar is uncomfortable with. These are some contractual obligations of those people. So if I do it, I have to have Firoz’s (Firoz Nadiadwala) permission, because he is the sole owner of the franchise.”He shared that Firoz Nadiadwala holds the rights for ‘Hera Pheri,’ ‘Awara Paagal Deewana,’ and ‘Welcome.’ “They sent a legal notice. I said, no, I don’t want to get into this legal mess; I don’t want to do this film, brother.”Responding to the legal notice he received from Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal said, “I think that was his emotional reaction. Like, ‘how can Paresh say no to me?’ He must have been emotionally disturbed. That’s why he sent it. I firmly believe that.”But, later, Paresh Rawal confirmed that he will do ‘Hera Pheri 3.’ During the interaction, he clarified his stance that he will do the movie, no matter who does it. “Whenever Hera Pheri happens, I will do it. Whoever does it, I will do it. I am married to the film.”
