While speaking on the ‘All Out with Jon Dean’ show, he shared that he was a bit unhappy while doing the show. He added, “I look back now and realize that there are many ways, in some of the best moments of my life, I was miserable,” he shared. “I’m not happy. I’m stressed.”Parsons also admitted that despite all the love, popularity, and accolades the show brought him, “I would never do that again and for any amount of money … it was stressful and miserable at times. I made myself miserable.”“I feel that there are so many plates that I have to put in the air and that the success and the good things in life happened only because of this extra work … discipline and whatever else. Maybe to a degree that is true. I don’t know. I can’t say because that’s how I am,” he also shared.Parsons added that many factors played into his deteriorating health over time, including his work ethic and his obsession with certain things, which caused him to disappear several times in his life. Speaking of his ‘obsession,’ the actor said, “I have a list of things that I need to do to be comfortable and know that I can do my job properly, which I don’t think is true.”
