Actor and writer Rony David Raj has shared a great update for ‘Kannur Squad’ fans. He revealed in a recent interview that talks have started about a sequel and that Mammootty informed about the project.Speaking in an interview with Reporter Films, Rony explained that the team has initiated discussions but is waiting for everyone involved to return from their current shooting schedules before taking the next step.

Giving an update on the progress of the sequel, Rony David Raj said that the makers have already discussed the idea with Mammootty. However, he clarified that the detailed planning will only start after the director Roby Varghese Raj and the actor has completed their ongoing commitments.He said, “Discussions about ‘Kannur Squad 2’ are going on. We have already spoken to Mammookka about the project. Roby should also be there. He is currently busy shooting a film with Kunchacko Boban. Once he returns in mid-July, we will decide on the next move.
