Director Nitesh Tiwari’s epicRamayana:‘ is set for a major international showcase, with the creators officially announcing that the film will be presented at San Diego Comic-Con. Just a day after reports said the makers are planning a grand trailer launch in Delhi on July 18, the official SDCC line-up was announced on Thursday.According to the list, ‘Ramayana’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash in the lead roles, is all set for its showcase on July 23, 2026. Producer Namit Malhotra is expected to join the leading men and director of the film Tiwari to unveil the film’s trailer in front of an international audience.

Screenshots of the film’s official lineup list have been posted online. It reads, “In the age of gods and kings, the fate of the worlds hangs in the balance. Rama, a prince bound by duty, sacrifice and the greater good, must face Ravana, an immortal ruler driven by pride and revenge, powerful enough to shatter the universe. The presentation is scheduled for 3:15 pm on July 23 in Ballroom 20, the second largest venue at San Diego Comic-Con, which reportedly has a seating capacity of approximately 4,800 attendees. The venue is second only to the convention’s iconic Hall H and has traditionally been reserved for some of the event’s biggest studio presentations.According to reports, this makes ‘Ramayana’ the second Indian film to receive a major showcase at San Diego Comic-Con after ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.The Comic-Con appearance is expected to be an important part of the film’s international marketing campaign, with the team reportedly planning a major presentation for global audiences. It is rumored that the makers will also drop some exclusive content for the event attendees.

Before going to the United States, however, Ranbir, Yash, director Tiwari and producer Malhotra, will officially launch the first trailer in India. The trailer will reportedly be unveiled at a grand event at the Bharat Mandapam on July 18, marking the start of the film’s entire promotional campaign.‘Ramayana’ cast and release dateAccording to a report in Variety India, the New Delhi launch will give audiences their widest glimpse of the ambitious adaptation that has seen Kapoor portray Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha and Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra. Yash, on the other hand, plays the role of Ravana, and Sunny Deol, plays Hanuman with an ensemble cast including Adinath Kothare, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha and Arun Govil.‘Ramayana.
