Earlier reports from Variety India suggested that the trailer of the film will be released on July 18; however, the team behind ‘Ramayana’ has confirmed that the trailer will be launched at a later date. They confirmed that the first trailer will be released at Comic Con on July 24. Current cast lineup for ‘Ramayana’
Since the movie has been in development for the last 10 years, there have been many changes in the cast. Currently, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are confirmed to play the lead roles in the film as Ram and Sita. Yash, who is currently gearing up for the release of his next lead film ‘Toxic’, has joined the project as Ravana, while Ravi Dubey has been cast as Lakshmana in the film. Rakul Preet Singh will play the role of Surpanakha and Kunal Kapoor will portray Lord Indra. Finally, Sunny Deol also joined the cast as Hanuman.
