Vedang Raina, ever since the success of ‘The Archies’ and starring in the blockbuster film, ‘Saiyaaraa’, is on a roll in the industry. He added, “Kindness. There are other virtues too, but if you’re not kind, everything falls flat.“

During the interview, he even discussed the kind of love and appreciation he received for his work in ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga.’ He mentioned that the love he received was “pretty overwhelming.” He also added, “The first couple of days or three days is a lot to take in. There are many things said about the film, which is now unanimously loved by critics and audiences. The screenings we went to... I’ve never seen reactions like that, and I feel like it’s onto something.”‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ underperformed in its initial days at the box office. However, after the first week, when public reviews started gaining traction, the film ended up doing very well. The film was originally released in theaters on June 12.While talking about the disappointing opening numbers, and how the film started to perform well in the coming weeks, Raina commented, “It was very shattering. And then the turnaround happened. I believe that this whole thing is more special. There is no other example where it happened like this. I regained my faith in the fact that good films find an audience.”During the interview, the actor talked about many things, including his dream directors to work with. Currently, Raina is working with Zoya Akhtar, Vasan Bala and Imtiaz Ali. While talking about the same, he candidly admitted that he would like to work with Christopher Nolan and Martin Scorsese in the future. He added, “There are many Indian directors I would like to work with as well, but if I dream as much as possible, I will choose two.“In ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, Raina played the younger version of Naseeruddin Shah’s character, Ishar Singh Grewal, aka ‘Keenu.’ He described his life before partition and how he was one of the thousands of people affected by the event.
