Sharing the video, the actress wrote, “tuesdaytipswithb Lassi on a hot day. I woke up since 3 am to do the mangala aarti, then walked in the Gangaghats in the scorching heat, this lassi was just the energy booster I needed. Sprinkled with dry fruits on top I enjoyed the crunch.”
Bhagyashree on the health benefits of curd based drinks
The actor further shared his thoughts on the health benefits of curd-based drinks, pointing out that a sweet lassi might not be good for everyone. He said, “Salt or sweet is a matter of choice and yes for diabetics, indulging in a sweet lassi is not the right choice. Curds are rich in calcium, protein, probiotics. Sugar/gud gives energy and water hydrates…. for me it’s the perfect combination in the 40° heat.“
Bhagyashree questioned the “fake” promotion claim
In the lead up to the viral video, Bhagyashree hit back at those who called the promotion fake without actually knowing the full story. He pointed out that the clip circulating online was cut and missing the key context. “And along with the amazing taste is the love it’s made in. There’s a clip of this video going around saying it’s a fake promotion... that’s a fake video, aadhi: Do you know how to upload it?”
Bhagyashree defended her cause of promoting local food
He added that the promotion of regional food is not driven by any personal profit, but only a way to support small businesses and local vendors. “Local food I promote meat se koi bhi paise nahi kamate. The only good thing is that local food, local vendors get support. It’s a shame that idle minds have nothing nice to say even about the simplest things. The controversy erupted after a short clip from Bhagyashree’s trip to Varanasi started doing rounds on social media. Some users alleged that she never drank the lassi once while filming for the promotional video package, suggesting that she avoided it because of its sugar and fat content. Others balked, arguing that endorsing a local business doesn’t obligate a celebrity to change their own eating habits.
